The Importance of Eye Tests in Walsall

Unlike a lot of other body parts, eyes don't necessarily hurt when there is something wrong with them, so it can be difficult to detect any eye conditions without an eye test.

According to a survey carried out by Mintel in 2010, one in five adults rarely or never have an eye test. Optometrists recommend that as a rule of thumb, most adults between 16 to 59 years old should get their eyes tested every two years, although you may need to have more frequent examinations depending on your age and medical history.

An eye test is not just about getting a new pair of glasses, it is a vital health check for your eyes and general well-being. Eye tests can often pick up concerning health conditions such as diabetes, macular degeneration and glaucoma, which is the second most common cause of blindness which can be prevented.

So, when was the last time you had an eye test?

Park Hall Opticians are one of Walsall's specialists in eye care and have created a fantastic reputation for themselves in the local area.
