Multi-sector consultancy Starting Point Recruitment (SPR), based in Walsall, has joined the Armed Forces Covenant - “a promise from the nation to those who serve or who have served, and their families.”
SPR joins more than 13,000 organisations across the UK that have so far publicly committed to the covenant.
All signatory organisations pledge to do all they can to ensure the sacrificial men and women who have served King and Country are “treated fairly and are not disadvantaged in their day-to-day lives.”
By signing the covenant, SPR promises to support reservists with paid leave and mobilisation, veterans in recruitment and service spouses through flexible working, and to promote military values across its business.
Jamie Naish, executive director at SPR, said: “The men and women who serve in our Armed Forces live by certain core values: courage, discipline, respect, integrity, loyalty and selfless commitment.
“It is only right that SPR honours their professionalism and sacrifice by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.”
SPR’s Armed Forces Covenant certificate reads: “We, the undersigned, commit to honour the Armed Forces Covenant and support the Armed Forces Community. We recognise the value serving personnel, both regular and reservists, veterans and military families contribute to our business and country.”
SPR announces its signing of the Armed Forces Covenant as it develops plans to create a specific military veterans recruitment division.
Professor Paul Cadman, CEO of SPR, which has offices in Walsall said: “I’m proud to publicly formalise our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces Community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.
“Military people are the best of us. These brave men and women serve King and Country so we can enjoy the freedoms we so often take for granted.”
