Spooked  in the Lamp, 28 October.

Keeping our precautions and proportions, and trying not to be scared, we now bring you October’s Spoke - Spooked in the Lamp!
(See the NEW NORMAL precautions below.)
A chance to pin your sylphid writings to the ghostly waves of air at Brownhills Community Centre on the 28th, the last Wednesday in October.
Come and be entertained by some of the Walsall area’s frighteningly creative writers
7:30 to 10:00 pm - please book in advance for a slot to read and/or a seat to listen. We’re limiting numbers to avoid overcrowding.

THEMES: Spook

HEADLINER: Richard Archer

Richard Archer is a poet from Walsall who has been writing poems for many years, he has written several collections of poetry as well as appearing on local radio and TV. Richard takes his inspiration from everything that goes on around him and could often be seen writing on the bus and usually missing his stop.

The NEW NORMAL for Spoke:
The Lamp theatre space is big enough and airy enough for two-metre distancing at ‘separate tables’. The watchword is SAFETY - yours and ours. A risk assessment has been carried out thanks to Janet Davies and Martin Hughes.
We’ll collect your contact information at the door just in case there happens to be a need to trace afterwards. Masks to be worn when mingling and hand sanitiser is available at the door.

*** PLEASE book an open mic or audience spot in advance.***
Send a Facebook Message or...
Email: spoke@albarz.uk
(We are limiting numbers to maintain social distancing.)
***Come with your own mask if possible.***
(We’ll have disposable ones to spare if you have any difficulty.)
***Please use the hand sanitiser which will be there for everyone to use on entry.***
***If you are ill, or have any dodgy symptoms, let us know and DO NOT COME!***
***Do not come from a lockdown area (Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell, etc.)
Entry - pay as you feel. (We’d like £3  but whatever you can.)
