Renowned poetry night Yes We Cant returns to the Pretty Bricks in Walsall on September 1st after its summer break. Headline poet Ben Davis has been described as “hilarious, edgy, and unpredictable” and anyone who saw him win the Audlem Slam earlier this summer will confirm that’s true. Put the date in your diaries, come along, and prepare to be amazed!

The night will also see the launch of Poets, Prattlers, and Pandemonialists exciting new publishing project: The Hundred Club. This will promote the work of poets from the Black Country and wider region via limited edition print runs of 100 copies of their work. Each pamphlet will be individually numbered, and when they’re gone, they’re gone! The first poet to feature in this series is Jane James from Wolverhampton, who takes the ‘Alf Ender slot at the September 1st event. Entry to the night is – as always – free, although the organisers do ask for donations when you leave so they can pay the headline act.

Doors are at 7pm, and open mic spots are available on the night. Be sure to arrive early if you want one!
