The funds were raised through a series of festive fundraising activities, including a popular Breakfast with Santa event, followed by staff taking part in Dry January.
Miss Cleo Andrews and Kate Manning (who work at The Red Lion, Park Street), gave up alcohol for the month, while generous customers donated in support of their efforts, helping raise an additional £1,000.
The money has been used to purchase a range of toys and equipment for the children’s ward at Walsall Manor Hospital, including five 55-inch televisions on portable trollies.
These items will help provide comfort, entertainment and distraction for children during their stay in hospital.
Victoria Harrison, Paediatric Matron, said: “We are so grateful to the team at The Red Lion, Park Street. The donations will go towards improving the hospital experience for our young patients.”
“The toys and TVs are fantastic, and I am sure they will help children feel more at ease.”

Additional gifts will also benefit patients across the wider Paediatric Department.
