Around 30 pupils from Watling Street Primary School have designed posters which will be displayed on litter bins throughout the park, combining creativity with messages about recycling and keeping public spaces clean.
The project was organised as part of wider improvements to Holland Park, where several older litter bins that had recently become corroded were replaced.
Before the artwork was applied, council teams also carried out cleaning works across the bins and surrounding areas, including removing mould and tree sap using a specialist jet wash van.
The initiative aims to encourage young people to take pride in their local environment while helping educate residents about the importance of recycling and disposing of litter responsibly.
“ This project is a great example of young people helping to make a positive difference in their local community.

“By involving pupils directly, we hope to encourage greater pride in local parks and raise awareness of the importance of keeping public spaces clean and tidy. “
The project also forms part of ongoing work to improve parks and green spaces across the borough, helping create cleaner, safer and more welcoming environments for residents and visitors.
The pupils’ artwork is now on display on litter bins across Holland Park for visitors to enjoy.
