Note of caution to Walsall Businesses using ‘Olympic’ Branding

We know that many local businesses may already have started decorating their premises to celebrate this special year for the UK. 

However it important to be aware that in some cases it is unlawful to use the Olympic symbol, the London 2012 logo or the words ‘London 2012’ in the course of trade without LOCOG’s written consent.

A recent an example of this where a Florist in Hanley has been ordered to take down a tissue paper Olympic rings display from her shop window because it breaches trademark rules:
