The improvements, carried out by Tarmac, have restored the garden’s paths to a safe condition, making the space more welcoming for all users, particularly wheelchair and pushchair users. The upgraded surfaces also mean rainwater will now run onto the grass instead of flooding the paths during heavy rainfall.
The work builds on the original paths created in 2015, which deteriorated over time, making the upgrade essential for accessibility and safety.
