KaushalyaUK is a local community organisation, working to empower and uplift women. The conference featured expert speakers, a Q&A session, and survivor testimonies. The event also enabled professionals working in mental health and domestic abuse specialties to network and collaborate.
Domestic abuse is defined as a single incident or pattern of abusive behaviour in any familial or intimate relationship that is used by one partner or family member to gain or maintain power and control over another intimate partner or family member (Domestic Abuse Act 2021).
