Couples who are approaching their Diamond Wedding Anniversary are invited to celebrate with the Mayor of Walsall, Angela Underhill at a tea party at the town hall in Lichfield Street.

The Mayor is inviting individual diamond couples and up to ten family members to celebrate with her at an exclusive afternoon tea party.

Councillor Underhill stated “This is something I’ve really been really looking forward to doing. An enduring love and life together which has lasted 60 years is certainly something to celebrate.   On behalf of the borough I would be delighted to invite couples and members of their families to the Town Hall to recognise and share in this very special occasion.”

The Mayors office are accepting nominations from couples who are approaching their 60th anniversary from now up until May 2016.
