Willenhall the birth place of 60s/70s music legends continues to promote local live talent and music through its annual Music festival Willenhall Lock Stock.    

 

Between 1964 and 1966 Willenhall Baths hosted unknown and rising stars The Rolling Stones, Cream, The In-Betweens and Legend. 2026 will see Willenhall Lock Stock continuing its promotion of great live music for great afternoon and evening in Willenhall Memorial Park.      

 

Willenhall Lock Stock 2026 Sunday September 6th Willenhall Memorial Park. The 9th annual Willenhall Lock Stock Music festival will take place on Sunday September 6th in the Memorial Park.    

 

Willenhall has a long history of popular music that was responsible for bringing The Rolling Stones to the town in February 1964 and what would have been one of their early tours and performances. Willenhall Baths through the incredible work of local Youth club at St Giles then became a regular gig for, Cream, Slade, The Moody Blues and a Young Robert Plant in a band called listen.    

 

Willenhall Lock Stock has 3 stages, The Teenage Cancer Trust stage and the The Childline Rocks stages where 18 local bands will entertain an audience of between 3000 and 4000. The festival show cases some brilliant young and new talent and over the last decade have seen some of its fledgling artist get projected into super stardom. Also raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust.    

 

The Bhangra Smash Up first played Lock Stock 8 years ago in a tiny marque with 100 crammed in. They now play festivals and city celebrations all across the UK and Europe to audiences in excess of 5k.    

 

Ticket prices are kept very low at just £10 through August and £15 on the day. The great local acts Playing this year Include, Strictly ABBA (currently on tour with Jasper Carrot) the brilliant Johnny 2 Bad the best local UB40 Tribute, The Bhangra Smash Up, The Fleetwood Mac Experience. KRANKT and special guests and reformed Black Country Beatles.
