Walsall business people have got together with Walsall Council to launch a new commercial logo for the town centre and the rest of the borough.

The new design is set to be used to help market the town centre across the region and nationally to would-be investors.

Councillor Adrian Andrew, Walsall Council Deputy Leader and cabinet member for regeneration, said:

“We’re bucking the national trend in Walsall town centre attracting investment. You only have to look at the plans for a multi-million pound makeover for the Old Square shopping centre attracting Primark and the Co-Op back to the town centre. Walsall is a place for everyone, a place for business, a place for shopping, a place for investment, for leisure and for living. To make an even bigger impact on a national scale a logo will help give a professional image to potential investors in the town''

Presenting a brand for the town is designed to help attract investment and create and safeguard jobs.
