Women having a crisis pregnancy (an unplanned pregnancy) are welcome to seek assistance at the LIFE Charity Help Station in Glebe Street, Walsall WS1 3NX. There are trained counsellors offering advice and training, and lots of baby equipment like baby buggies, nappies, toys and clothes are available for FREE.

All the volunteers are wonderful Christian women from local churches who commit their time and efforts every week to man the Help Station which is open to the public every Friday from 9:00 am to 12 noon. They work other days too (but the Help Station is only open on Fridays) to source and collect donations of baby equipment and clothes and toys. They then clean them so that when they are presented to the young mums, they look nearly new.

Irene Henery (pictured) a local politician who will be standing for election to become a councillor in the Walsall Council Elections in May 2026 under the Reform UK party, is a regular donor.

She helps out occasionally at Life Charity with driving and delivering baby equipment, nappies and clothes to impoverished families in Walsall and Birmingham. For the last few weeks, she had been helping a young Muslim family from Pakistan who had arrived in the UK on a Skilled Workers Visa only to find out their immigration agent had scammed them out of £30,000 and leaving them jobless and destitute.

Irene is reaching out to local agencies and charities to access help for the family who has 2 toddlers aged 1 and 2 years old. The young mother is only 21, having married at age 17, and she said that her sister has also been scammed by the immigration agent and left destitute.
