Madeleine Holland, our very wonderful, amazing lady, recognised for her volunteering.    The majority nominates was for my contribution to Education serving as a Governor in schools and Walsall College.   She is coaching children and preparing children for their 11 plus, four passed with Mark's 180 and above, this year.  Very proud moment for her.    Madeleine is sitting on interview panels at schools on their recruitment for head of departments, principal level amongst many other activities.    Madeleine said, "I keep in touch with all my students, governors though they have all gone to University and graduated to PHD level.  We all have lunch together.  The a group of student who went to LSE London, came for afternoon tea this month.   Then there are three very clever young people who are rising through the ranks in the NHS, and they at Brewers Fayre for breakfast at least 4 times a year.   She feels honoured that these young successful people still want to keep in touch with her.    The Food Bank takes two days of her week.  She supports Balbir Seimar BEM, by collecting bread from Sainsburys once a week for the food bank and selection of groceries from ALDI for the Central Mosque.   This is something that she enjoys doing very much.   She does practise interview techniques before interviews.  When they are ready, off they go to Matalan to get kitted out for their job interview attire.  it's the Young Peoples Grannies that pays the bill at Matalan.  Not had a failure yet.    Madeleine does all this with no charge, all she asks, in return is "don't let me down and they don't"   She explained that one of her protege is now an optician and has his franchise.  He owns his house, with a car and is married with a gorgeous daughter at a Grammar school for girls.     Madeleine  said, "I like keeping a close eye on my godchildren, they too are working hard and doing very well."   "I feel very proud of each and everyone."   The 10th Community Inspiration Awards, organised by Community Foundation, took place on 29th March 2022 at the prestigious Al Miraj Banqueting Suites, Birmingham  Madeleine was not able to make it on night. co.uk/community-inspiration-awards/ https://youtu.be/411a_MLj-dM
