Currently based off Coppice lane, Midland Container Logistics is planning to relocate to another site in the town after they won their approval to expand and build a new transport depot.
Based in Aldridge, the firm specialises in port to port container transportation services, and has become the latest transport firm in Walsall to unveil plans for expansion.
The firm is aiming to breathe new life into vacant land, and filed a planning application with Walsall Council to build a new transport depot in Westgate. The scheme has been given the go-ahead, which will involve the firm building a new office, maintenance shop, storage areas, parking as well as an access road.
The new development plans will offer 12 parking spaces for cars, as well as 33 spaces for heavy goods vehicles. Midland Container Logistics confirmed that the proposal will create more jobs in the future, however they have not revealed how many.
