How Long Does This Have To Continue Then?

It was hoped that following on from the point earned at Leyton Orient that  Walsall may kick on a bit with the following two home games against Yeovil and Exeter. What the long suffering fans had to suffer on Saturday against Yeovil was again another false dawn. A few chances were made but not taken. For the record Adam Virgo scored the winner for the visitors on 70 minutes. This win condemned Walsall to bottom of the table with just 7 points on the board from 10 games....pathetic return and its clear now that under the present manager Walsall can forget all about making the play offs. Week after week Chris Hutchings tells the press of the hard luck stories and true Walsall are losing by just one goal each match...but the fact remains that Walsall have now lost 7 out of ten league matches and were knocked out of two cup competitions at the first attempt. Walsall's record of 9 defeats in 12 games in all competitions this season is totally unacceptable and surely a change has to be made? There is mounting speculation in the press and more importantly from the fans that we can't continue like this. The previous manager Jimmy Mullen was sacked with the club in 12th position in the league. Walsall have not been on the bottom of the table after 10 games since we've been at Bescot over 20 years ago. The rot has to stop. Relegation to soccer's basement is not an option. Changes have to be made.
