Helen Rochelle, from Zumba with H in Walsall, is preparing for an incredible challenge: 24 hours and 10 minutes of Zumba, as she attempts to achieve a Guinness World Record while raising money for two charities close to her heart.
Taking place in Cambridgeshire on 24–25 October 2026, the challenge will honour the memory of Helen’s brother, Glynn, and her lifelong best friend, Kelly.
Helen is fundraising for The Society for Mucopolysaccharide Diseases (The MPS Society) in memory of Glynn, who was diagnosed with Fabry disease, a rare genetic condition, in his late twenties.
Glynn underwent infusion treatments every two weeks and was facing the prospect of a kidney transplant. Sadly, he passed away in March 2024, aged just 44.
For Helen, the challenge is a heartfelt way to remember her big brother while supporting a charity connected to a cause that means so much to her family.
Helen is also raising funds for Hereditary Brain Aneurysm (HBA) Support in memory of Kelly, her best friend since they were just three years old.
Kelly supported Helen’s Zumba journey from the very beginning. Although dancing wasn’t really her thing, she always believed in Helen, encouraged her and cheered her on.
In June 2024, Kelly sadly passed away following a subarachnoid haemorrhage. She was just 40 and left behind a loving family, including three children and two young grandchildren, as well as many friends who miss her dearly.
Through her fundraising, Helen hopes to help HBA Support continue providing information, resources and support for people affected by brain aneurysms and their families.
A fantastic team will join Helen in Cambridgeshire to support her as she dances through the day and night. It is a huge challenge, inspired by two people who hold a very special place in her heart.
If you can, please support Helen by donating through either of her JustGiving pages. Sharing her fundraising pages will also help spread the word and encourage more people to get behind her.
