“ These mobile vaccination clinics offer a convenient and accessible way for eligible residents to receive their vaccinations without the need for an appointment. Whether you’re doing your weekly shop or passing by, I strongly encourage everyone who is eligible to make use of this opportunity to protect themselves and those around them. Please also check to see if you are eligible for other vaccines such as the COVID-19, RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) and pneumococcal vaccines. “
Councillor Gary Flint, Portfolio Holder for Culture, Health and Wellbeing
Walsall Council
“ Now the winter season is approaching, vaccinations are our best defence against viruses and it’s the best way to not only protect yourself but your loved ones around you too.
Sally Roberts, Chief Nursing Officer
Flu symptoms are unpleasant for many, but for those with certain health conditions, it can be very dangerous and can put people’s lives at risk.
Mobile clinics are a great way for those eligible for a flu vaccine to get vaccinated to stay well at a convenient time and location that suits them, with no appointment necessary.
If you are popping to the shops, or out and about anywhere across the Black Country, make getting vaccinated your top priority. You don’t need to wait to be invited if you’re eligible, just come forward as soon as you can.
If anyone is hesitant about the vaccine or has any questions, the mobile clinics are also an opportunity to speak to experts from the NHS in a private and confidential environment, so please do come along even if it’s just to have a conversation. “
NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board
In addition to the mobile vaccination clinics, eligible residents can book their vaccine online via the National Booking System, via the NHS app, or by calling 119. Calls to 119 are free from mobiles and landlines and the booking service provides support in 200 different languages.
Those who have difficulties communicating or hearing or are a BSL user can use textphone 18001 or the NHS 119 British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter service.
Flu vaccinations are also available at a range of community pharmacies. To find a pharmacy near you visit the NHS website. You can also find out about mobile vaccination clinics on the NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board website.
