This will take place at Caldmore Community Garden, 12 Carless Street, WS1 3RH, on 25 September from 1pm to 4pm. No booking is required.
Delivered as part of the Walsall Energy Action Project (WEAP), the event will feature expert advisors on hand to provide tips on saving energy at home, reducing costs, and making greener choices. There will also be opportunities to learn more about climate action and free refreshments, including samosas.
The Walsall Energy Action Project, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and supported by Walsall Council and local partners, is working to help residents cut their energy costs while taking action against climate change.
The programme offers free advice sessions, home visits, and community events across the borough.
Councillor Suky Samra, Portfolio Holder for Street Pride at Walsall Council, said, “This event is a great opportunity for residents to get free, practical advice on how to save money and reduce their impact on the environment.
“The Walsall Energy Action Project is already helping households across the borough, and I’d encourage everyone to come along, enjoy some refreshments, and see how small changes can make a big difference.”
Partners supporting the project include Friends of the Earth, Brownhills Community Association, Ryecroft Community Hub, Darlaston All Active, Aaina, Nash Dom, The Lamp, Resilient Communities, FrogLife and others.
The project has its own website, which can be found at: https://weap.walsall.gov.uk
