Five Rivers A La Carte restaurant have just been named winners of the first ever Hello Curry competition by Birmingham Airport.
Up against tough competition Fiver Rivers A La Carte prepared there dish live at the finals in Brindleyplace along with the rest of finalists from across Birmingham. The Walsall based restaurant came out on top with all 4 judges (which were made up of a mixture of food critics and editors) praising there creamy Saag Punjabi served with Makhi di Roti (Roti made with Chickpea and maize flour).

“We are very proud to be representing Birmingham internationally and are delighted to have won this prestigious award. It’s a massive achievement for us as we have only been established for 6 months. Our Executive Chef Rashpel Sunner who prepared the dish is also very happy to have won this competition.” Comment ends.
In total 7 finalists put there Head Chef to the test in order to create a signature curry dish that will represent Birmingham globally and win the title to be Birmingham Airport’s signature curry. The winning dish will now be re-created internationally and the first destination will be Abu Dhabi.
