On Saturday 28th June Aldridge Parish Church Centre are holding an eco fair between 10am - 3pm. The address is 14 The Green, Aldridge, walsall WS9 8NH.
There will be an art exhibition, children`s activities, I Phone and electronic repairs, bike repairs and sewing repairs and recycled crafts, wildlife habitats and Fairtrade goods for sale.
Refreshments will be available.
Each year a container goes from the Church of England in Birmingham to Malawi and at the Eco Fair Aldridge will be collecting items that can be used for training and education in local churches.
In Malawi trusted contacts are used who offer training in sweing, knitting and crochet through which women can earn a living and also support children to go to school and get an education.
They can use any of the following in good condition - donations gratefully accepted:
For Adults
Knitting wool, knitting needles, crochet hooks, sweing fabric, needles, thread, thimbles, small scissors
For Children
Knapsacks, shoulder bags (they make great school bags), pencils, biros, crayons, pencil cases, exercise books, notebooks, rulers, protractors, small calculators.
No thank you to clothing, terainers amnd books because its about what`s helpful in Malawi.
