Don`t take an unlicensed Cab home

After you have been careful enough to leave your car at home this Xmas when partying please take care not to enlist an unlicenced Minicab to take you home. This means if you are approached by a Minicab driver touting for business A. They are breaking the law and B. You are not insured to be in that vehicle.

Private Hire Vehicles or Minicabs can only be pre-booked and unfortunately it is relatively easy for unlicensed drivers to masquerade as law abiding licensed Private Hire Vehicles.

Unlicensed minicab drivers often ply for fares outside pubs & clubs, hoping people mistake them for a licensed cab. This occurs particularly around Christmas and New Year, when the festivities & cold weather make revellers prone to rash decisions.

You can hail a Black Cab to take you home or take one from a designated Taxi Rank where they are waiting legally for passengers which will be signposted or if you decide on a Mini Cab make sure you prebook with their office

Stay safe this Xmas with A.S. Mondeos of Wednesbury ( Ford Spares )
