The delays come from Network Rail, they are to preparing to lower power lines for a revamp of the new electrification of the power lines across the Walsall area. It is set to be an on going process that will start at the end of this year, and continue through to Spring 2015.

Network Rails have comfirmed that some stations may be required to close due to the work that needs to be carried out, Network Rail today issued this statement. "Network Rail is electrifying 15 miles of railway between Walsall, Hednesford and Rugeley Trent Valley to help provide a more regular and reliable train service for passengers".

The station that are to be affected are Sneyd Lane, Leamore Lane, Green Lane, Coalpool Lane, Littleton Street, Bloxwich Road, Forest Lane and Wyrley and Essington canal.
