These nominations reflect the commitment, innovation, and teamwork that drive our business forward every day.
The Vendies celebrate the very best in the vending and unattended retail sector, championing excellence in customer service, innovation, sustainability, and leadership. We’re delighted to have been named finalists in all six categories we entered this year:

• Best Family Business
• Customer Service Award
• Best Vending Project (recognising our Express Refreshments Smart Fridge)
• Excellence in Communication
• Woman of the Year – recognising our outstanding Operations Manager, Annette Ball
Having previously won Best Customer Service in 2024 and Best Overall Operator in 2023, we’re thrilled to see our continued efforts acknowledged once again.
We’re especially proud to see Annette nominated for Woman of the Year, which is a testament to her dedication and impact across the business.
This year’s final takes place on Wednesday 4th June at the prestigious Grand Connaught Rooms in London, and we look forward to what promises to be another fantastic celebration of our industry.
Regional excellence at the Express & Star Business Awards
Closer to home, the Express & Star Business Awards provide a respected, community-focused platform recognising outstanding organisations across the Midlands. We’re proud to be finalists in three categories:
• Business of the Year
• Employee Wellness Excellence Award
• Growth and Innovation Award
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming judges and sponsors from each of these categories to our Walsall premises.
These in-person visits allowed us to expand on our written entries and share more about what sets us apart — from our focus on employee development and wellbeing, to a company culture that constantly embraces innovation to drive progress in our sector.

Our entries for both awards featured the work we’re doing through Express Refreshments, including our Smart Fridge and Micro Market offerings.
These solutions are redefining workplace refreshments by delivering flexible, unattended retail that better meets the expectations of today’s workforce.
It’s innovation like this that continues to position us at the forefront of our industry.
We manage almost every aspect of our operation in-house, from the technology we use to the customer experiences we deliver — all developed and continuously refined by our fantastic team.
That hands-on approach, combined with over 60 years of doing things a little differently, has helped shape who we are today.
To be recognised across nine competitive categories is an incredible honour and a reflection of the people behind the Coinadrink name.
