Balbir Seimar BEM is Walsall’s Chief WASUP Community Engagement Ambassador.     Balbir Seimar BEM, continues to support the community with great zeal along side her day job.  In an brief interview she shared some thoughts.   This is our Second Christmas in the most challenging times.  It is still so important to look after ourselves as well as our neighbours.  A simple smile from our busy life is all that is needed.  Some of us are and may be able to do more and that is welcomed.

I thank everyone for the lovely decorations displayed outside their homes.  This makes my journeys so enjoyable, especially during, wet, stormy, windy and snowy conditions.  I am impressed with the couple that walk in snow in their shorts!

Seeing everyone in Christmas outfits brings a cheer and uplifts me.  This is so most important for our own mental health and Physical Wellbeing.  It certainly helps me.

The community spirit matters so much to me.  Serving humanity selflessly is one of my core values.  The food chains rising to the challenge in donating their food is welcomed. DPD local courier service, have risen to their social value challenge and I have enjoyed taking them to clean canal towpaths, litter picking, painting, weeding, cutting bushes at community gardens and a church in Walsall.

Next year I am looking forward to supporting and celebrating, with you, The Queen’s Canopy, Platinum Jubilee of  Her Majesty The Queen and the Commonwealth Games in the summer.    It is a pleasure to meet, see and serve the people of Walsall.  I thoroughly enjoy going out with the community groups and corporates on litter picking, towpath cleaning, supporting with food deliveries amongst other activities.

Stay safe and enjoy the Festive holiday    Balbir Seimar BEM Chief WASUP Community Engagement Ambassador     f/b: bobbie sabharwal t: @balseimar
