From Saturday 28th March 2015, Sutton Coldfield company Dunton Stables will bring family boat rides back to Walsall Arboretum!
The swan-shaped pedaloes will be taking to the water at Hatherton Lake for the first time in almost 20 years!
This news comes as the boathouse has been restored as part of a £7.9m revamp at Walsall Arboretum.
A pontoon has been installed in front of the boathouse for the boats to be launches from and the old illuminations scaffolding has been removed from the lake edges
It has been assured that the operator will cordon off the top of the lake to prevent the vessels causing any disturbance to nesting birds while also creating an undisturbed area for wildfowl.
Boating returning to the Arboretum is fantastic news and follows on from the completion of work on the Visitors cenre at the Arboretum!
