15th January 2018
... Comments

On 13th January 2018 a new law came into force banning retailers from charing consumers for paying by a particular method. Most commonly charges were made to payments by credit or debit card .

Minimum card payment limits can still apply .Furthermore , the ban will not apply to cash withdrawals at ATM machines nor will apply to payments made on a compnay credit card .

Some companies are trying to get round the ban by imposing booking or administative fees on all transactions.
