Meeting at The Grange Car Park (WS1 2QB), participants will enjoy a gentle walk through one of the West Midlands’ most beautiful parks, taking time to observe the natural surroundings before responding to a variety of poetry and creative writing prompts inspired by the landscape.
Designed to be welcoming and accessible, the event is open to everyone, regardless of previous writing experience. Whether you’re an established poet, enjoy writing as a hobby, or simply want to spend an afternoon connecting with nature, Poetry in the Park offers a relaxed and supportive environment to explore creativity.
AccessAbility Arts is committed to making the arts accessible to all, creating inclusive opportunities for people of all backgrounds and abilities to express themselves through creativity.
DK, co-founder of AccessAbility Arts, said: “Nature has a wonderful way of slowing us down and helping us notice the little things. Poetry in the Park is about enjoying the outdoors, connecting with others, and discovering that everyone has a story worth telling. You don’t need to call yourself a writer to take part – just bring your curiosity and an open mind.”
The event is free to attend, but attendees are asked to reserve a place in advance through Eventbrite or by emailing info@accessabilityarts.com to help organisers gauge numbers.
Children and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
