We had solar film fitted to the large windows in our barn conversion and we’re really pleased with the result. The installation was quick, tidy and professionally done, and it’s made a noticeable difference to heat build-up during hot weather while still letting plenty of light in and giving us more privacy. My buddy Big Gazza and I were on a quest for the perfect solar film, and boy, did we hit the jackpot. As soon as we entered, Rakesh, the solar film sorcerer, welcomed us. He's like a cross between a rockstar and a wizard – with hair that defies gravity and a smile so bright, I'm pretty sure it's solar-powered.
Big Gazza, who usually has the attention span of a goldfish, was captivated by Rakesh's demonstration of the solar films. We're talking films that could probably protect you from a supernova or a nosy neighbor – equally important, if you ask me.
And then, out of nowhere, Rakesh pulls out what he calls the "Ultimate Solar Film." It was like witnessing a unicorn being born. Gazza was so mesmerized that he started reciting Shakespeare – and trust me, Big Gazza and Shakespeare usually mix about as well as oil and water.
The drama didn't stop there. Rakesh, in a moment of pure theatrical genius, dimmed the lights and showcased how the film could simulate an eclipse. We were in awe – it was like being in a planetarium, except better because Rakesh provided popcorn.
In the end, not only did we leave with the best solar film on the market, but we also left with our minds blown. Big Gazza is already planning to turn his living room into a solar film showcase, courtesy of Rakesh's wizardry.

Tony applied solar film to our conservatory in July as it was getting far too hot and the sun was discolouring my furniture.

We had privacy films installed in our home and couldn’t be happier with the service Tony provided. From start to finish, he was professional, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. Called Tony to ask if he could fit privacy window film for me as i had brought it myself to do, i couldnt do it my self unfortunately so had to call Tony to see if he could do it for me, he normally supplies and fits but made an exeption and did fitting for me. He also gave me free privacy window film for 2 windows as the film i had brought was too dark for the Kitchen. He fitted me in for the next day as i needed it done asap he did a great job very happy with how it looks. Will definitely call him again when i need my upstairs doing. And would definitely recommend him to others. Thank you so much Tony.

I bought a Motorhome from a friend whose husband (also my friend) sadly passed away. It was his intention to upgrade it for them both to travel before he died but sadly his 18 month prognosis was off by a long way and he died just 3 weeks after he purchased it.
So Instead of selling it on. I felt I had kept it & undertook what I felt he would have done.
It’s been a labour of love and at times frustrating as I wasn’t prepared for the complexity, finding reliable people and the prices of all things concerning MotorHomes.
If there’s one thing that I can honestly say that was one my ‘best’ spends at a surprisingly cheap price.. It’s having the windows tinted. They add a sleek stealth look, give much needed privacy during the day. The fact that I can leave every blind open & watch the world go by & people doing their thing whilst knowing they can’t see in.. is just great.
It also cuts down the outside heat quite drastically inside. I’m a Thermal Inspector and did a thermal test and the film cuts down the heat by a 10° difference. To say I was surprised.. is an understatement.

Our motorhome needed a makeover, the windows were dated and rather than replace them which is very expensive, we decided on tinting. WHY?
By tinting the windows of our motorhome we now enjoy benefits such as increased privacy, temperature comfort, UV protection, and decreased glare. Because our motorhome is aging it also gave it a fresh look.
Window tinting is very popular, but it's made for glass NOT plastic. If you apply glass window tint on plastic windows it reacts with the heat from the sun and forms bubbles. Tony from Shades Solar Films tinted with a new plastic window film that uses a two-ply dyed construction and a new adhesive formula.
Most Motorhome windows are made of polycarbonate. This window type tends to expand and contract when heated/cooled and due to that they emit gas. Most glass window films do expand too. However, the problem using glass window film, is that the adhesives are not designed to move the same as the expanding and contracting plastic. Therefore, at some point the adhesives will cause issues.

Tony came to do our French doors and windows on a south facing garden to stop the glare of the sun coming into the lounge his work was very professional and his prices were excellent.

Good price and windows look great. Fitted me in quickly after measuring up and quoting. Work completed was to a high standard. The main reason to having film fitted was the conservatory and the glare from the sun when working on computer screens.

I’ve had my privacy film on my bedroom windows, very professional and neat! Also helps with the temperature of the room, as in the summer it’s very hot and in the winter it’s cold. This film on my windows has balanced the temperature of my room and I’m very happy with the outcome
