Art galleries in Walsall do encourage local artists, both young and old.  The Chameleon Gallery is keen to give our young artists a venue for their art expression.

The Young Peoples exhibition at the Chameleon Art Gallery was a huge success.  This gave our budding young artists an opportunity to explore self esteem and emotional issues.  Art expression is a great opportunity for our young people to deal with difficult or topical issues in their lives. For further information about the young peoples art project contact Kate Fellows on 01922 650432 or Moya Lloyd on 01922 653114 at Walsall Council.

The Chameleon Gallery comprises of two exhibition rooms.

  • The larger room has plenty of natural daylight flooding in from large skylights and measures 13.5m x 4m.  A storage room and loading bay leads from this large gallery area
  • The smaller exhibition room measures 7.7m x 3.3m and has a toilet and washroom.

Both art exhibition rooms have power points and access to a fire exit.

Art exhibitions are held regularly throughout the year.  During an exhibition the art gallery is open from Wednesday to Saturday - 10a.m. - 6p.m.

Alan Cheeseman holds Silver Ring Making courses at venues of your choice across the region.  These courses work best with 6-8 people, from ages 8 and upwards.  Alan provides all the tools and materials.  The aim of these silver making courses is to design and produce a plain or textured silver ring using basic jewellery making tools.

If you'd like to learn more about Alan's silver making courses or how to hire Chameleon Art Gallery, please contact Alan Cheeseman on 01922 or email him on the link on this site.
