A night of giggles will take place at Unity Hall, in Westgate, on Thursday, November 29, featuring Britain’s Got Talent star Micky P Kerr, local comedian Zack Stevens and impressionist Steff Todd as well as host for the night Pete Emmett.

Tickets costing £15 are on sale via Forget Me Not, with all money raised going towards helping Forget Me Not continue to provide care and support to over 500 local children living with life shortening conditions and their families across the region.

Redrow Homes, who have kindly provided a £1,500 donation as headline sponsor of the event, were recently welcomed into the Hospice as a way of thanking them for their support and to see first-hand the inspiring work it does.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow’s Wakefield-based Yorkshire division, said the visit had been a privilege and demonstrated just how vital a service the hospice provides.

“Forget Me Not is not far from our Springfields development in Highburton, and also has close connections to Wakefield, where our St John’s Mews and City Fields developments are located.  We are very lucky to enjoy a great relationship with this children’s hospice, with Redrow itself having fundraised for it in the past,” she said.

“We’re delighted to be sponsoring what’s sure to be a hilarious evening with a great line-up. We look forward to going along and would urge others to get a ticket, come down, have fun and raise money for a tremendous cause in the process.”

Ryan Grint, Regional Fundraiser at Forget Me Not, said the support of Redrow and other local businesses was a major source of help in staging such events.

He added: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Redrow for kindly agreeing to be the Headline Sponsor for this event. We are really excited by the fantastic line-up we have for the night and can’t wait to open the doors and let the show begin!”

The comedy night, which kicks off at 7.30pm, is suitable for anyone over the age of 13 and any attendee under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
