Forest Arts Centre in The New Forest is an exciting venue offering a rolling programme of theatre, performing arts and entertainment throughout the year.
Forest Arts Centre
The Leading Live Arts Venue in the New Forest
With over 40,000 visits every year, Forest Arts Centre offers a full programme of music, theatre, comedy and other arts events, such as literature days.
To give you just a taste - in recent months we have enjoyed comedy from the likes of OmidDjalili, Chris Ramsey and Lucy Porter, music from Cara Dillon, Hazel O’Connor, Bella Hardy and Ben Waters, and superb theatre from European Arts Company and Dyad Productions.
A former military drill hall (hence the distinctive dome-shaped roof), Forest Arts has a 146 capacity air conditioned theatre, attractive café-bar, dance studio with fully sprung floor and wall to floor mirrors, and workshop.
All year-round, Forest Arts stages exhibitions of high quality work by local, regional and national artists.
Another important element of life here is the varied range of regular classes and workshops for youngsters and adults including street dance, ballet, drama, dance and art.
There is also an extensive educational and outreach programme in partnership with schools, community and voluntary organisations as well as other arts organisations.
Forest Arts has many spaces available for hire.
Current users include Act Now Theatre Company, John Edwards Open Studio, Brockenhurst College, and several private yoga and pilates tutors.
