For the kids:

There’s a wide range of activities for the kids, including Family Discovery Days at the New Forest Centre in Lyndhurst on 7th, 9th, 14th and 16th April, where there will be craft activities, quizzes and themed trails.

St Barbe Museum & Art Gallery in Lymington has a drop in “build your own model boat” activity day on 16th April, and also on the 16th April you can join Alice in Wonderland for an interactive shadow theatre and workshop at the Forest Arts Centre.

All are welcome to the Milford Pre-school Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday 4th April.

Other events and activities can be found at Beaulieu, and across the New Forest, just click here for more ideas for the kids during the holidays.

If you fancy catching a film, Shaun the Sheep The Movie is on at the Lymington Community Centre Cinema, on Tuesday 7th April at 2.30pm and 7.15pm, Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th at 2.30 pm.

Big hero 6 is also showing in Lymington on Friday 10th, Saturday 11th,  Monday 13th, Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th  April; all viewings at 2.30pm.

Cinema Listings for the various small cinemas across the New Forest are shown on our website – as are the Odeon listings in Southampton and Bournemouth, and Cineworld in Southampton.

For the art lovers:

Why not head to St Barbe Museum & Art Gallery in Lymington and take a look at the Royal Society of Marine Artists Exhibition – this is a selling exhibition.  The Museum is open over Easter (apart from Sunday).

If you are in Lyndhurst, you can head to the New Forest Centre and visit their Special Exhibition which starts on Friday 3rd April – Forest Connections, by mixed artists.

Car booters:

Every Sunday, the New Forest Car Boot Sale is on at Strawberry Field in Bolde, and the Car Boot Sale returns to New Milton on 12th April.

On Easter Sunday, and on the first Sunday of every month, there is a market and car boot sale in Totton; and in Woodside Park Lymington on Easter Monday a charity car boot sale is being held.

More details can be found here.

Local produce lovers:

There is a New Forest local producer’s markets at Everton Garden Centre in  Milford-on-Sea on Easter Saturday, and the following Saturday New Milton hosts the monthly Farmers’ Market in Station Road.
