Afternoon Talk: Gunpowder Factory in Fritham by Stephen Ings

A presentation on the Gunpowder Works  at Eyeworth between 1860 and 1821, looking at Drayson and Campbells black powder manufactory and at the Schultze Gun Powder Company and the production of smokeless gunpowder.

The Design & Creation of Queen Mary 2 - Evening Lecture


Where: Beaulie
When: 7th November, 7:30pm

Cunard Line celebrates its 175th anniversary this year and its flagship, the Queen Mary 2, was completed on 23 December 2003. This magnificent ocean liner was designed by a team of British Naval architects, led by Stephen Payne.  Tonight Stephen will tell the story of the conception and building of the world’s only true ‘ocean’ liner.
