This summer we are going mad for festivals and community events here at thebestofthenewforest!

One exciting festival we have come across is "Fanfare for Spring”, an International Festival of Street Performance Art held in Ringwood. Ringwood Rotary Club and Ringwood 41 Club are supporters of this weekend long event

Following the great success of last year’s festival, Fanfare for spring are back on 17th May taking over the streets of Ringwood with street performers, music, dancing, bands and other arts, all in a special D Day commemoration.

Commencing at 10.30am, Ringwood will be buzzing with performance art until 4pm, with the Folk and Ceilidh band Threepenny Bit taking over from 5pm.

Check out Threepenny Bit on YouTube, they are a great Folk band from Hampshire and will be taking over the stage from 5pm on the Saturday.

The celebrations continue on the Sunday, with The Fanfare Prom from The Amberley Wind Ensemble in The Trinity Centre, Ringwood.

Want to get involved? Fanfare for Spring are looking for more new and exciting street performers to join them, so if just watching isn’t enough and you want to get involved then contact the coordinator Roger Bettle.
