It's the most wonderful time of the year and as usual, there is so much going on in The New Forest ... here's a list of some of the events happening in December!!! 

Brockenhurst Christmas Lights and Fun Evening

Friday 5th December, 6pm-8pm

Pennington Village Christmas Fayre

Saturday 6th December, 10:00am until 4:00pm

Home-grown Christmas trees & wreaths, tasty treats and unusual Christmas crafty presents. Delicious mulled wine, hot chocolate & hot festive food. See Santa, listen to Christmas carols and join in the activities. 

New Forest Christmas Fair

Saturday 6th December, 10:00am until 4:00pm

Christmas Light Switch On in Ringwood

Saturday 6th December, 10:00am until 7:00pm

There will be stalls, street entertainers, fair rides, a lantern parade, and of course not forgetting Santa's grotto. 

Small Business Saturday in Lymington

Saturday 6th December, 10:00am until 4:00pm

In celebration of Small Business Saturday, there will be Christmas themed entertainment and special offers in shops up and down the High Street. 

Longdown Farm Christmas Barn

Saturday 6th December, 10:30am until 4:00pm

Go and see some of the best-loved elements of Longdown Activity Farm, all under one festive roof, in the Longdown Farm Christmas Barn; an 'animal magical' Christmas experience for children.  Meet the farm animals and see the beautiful nativity scene and visit Santa in his Grotto. 

Fawley Christmas Fayre

Saturday 6th December, 4:00pm until 7:00pm

Santa's grotto, reindeer, raffle, Marchwood Military Wives choir, hot food stalls and more! 

Christmas Bazaar - Burley

Sunday 7th December

Father Christmas Rescue at Queens Head Pub followed by Bazaar 

Christmas paddle to meet Father Christmas

Sunday 7th December, 9:30am until 11:00am

Join our guides for a 90 minute paddle exploring the river and help them to find Father Christmas. 

Oakhaven Annual Santa Dash

Sunday 7th December, 11:30am until 1:00pm

Fun 3k run, walk, hop - whatever you want!, Free Santa outfits, Free goody bags for children, Free water bottles for everyone at the end. Start and finish Lymington High Street. 

A Christmas Concert with the Jubilee Singers

Sunday 7th December, 2:00pm until 5:00pm

Christmas Concert with the Jubilee Singers - free raffle and refreshments - all welcome 

Christmas Tree Festival at St John the Baptist

Thursday 11th December, 11:00am until 6:00pm

Christmas Tree Festival at St John the Baptist - FREE event but donations to charity. 

Christmas Market and Fun Day at The New Forest Centre

Saturday 13th December, 10:00am until 4:00pm

Enjoy seasonal food, fun, crafts and activities as part of Lyndhurst Christmas Fun Day activities.

Christmas Ropes Swing to meet Father Christmas

This year Father Christmas told us he wants to try out our new ropes course, so he’ll be waiting there for all you lot that fancy giving it a try! 

Christmas Walking Safari

Wednesday 17th December, 10:00am until 1:00pm

Two and a half mile walk around Bolderwood followed by a glass of mulled wine. 

Centre Fairs at Lyndhurst Community Centre

Thursday 18th December, 10:00am until 4:00pm

A great opportunity to purchase some gifts, crafts and collectibles. 

Christmas Celebrations at Beaulieu

Saturday 20th December

A place of enchantment at this special time of year. Children can dress up in period costumes, there will be carol singing around the grand piano for everyone to enjoy.

The Snow Queen - Family Christmas at Forest Arts

Saturday 20th December, 11:30am until 1:00pm

Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale translates perfectly into one of Image Musical Theatre's much loved participation musicals. When a boy is tricked and whisked away to the frozen north, it is only the love and loyalty of Gerda, his childhood friend, that is powerful enough to rescue him. 

Music for Chistmas with Highcliffe Junior Choir

Saturday 20th December, 7:00pm until 9:00pm

The award winning Highcliffe Junior Choir return to Beaulieu with a programme of Christmas music and readings. Mulled wine and a mince pie are included in the ticket price. This is a popular concert and was a sell out in 2013 so book your ticket early.Price: £10 

Clive's Music School Christmas Charity Gig

Sunday 21st December, 6:30pm until 8:00pm

Tickets £5 each, In aid of Honeypot children's charity  

Victorian Father Christmas at St. Barbe Museum and Art Gallery

Monday 22nd December, 10:30am until 2:30pm

Come to the museum and have the opportunity to meet our Victorian Father Christmas and have a vintage photo taken with him. There will also be a Victorian Christmas tree decoration workshop.

 

Christmas is coming and there is no better way to celebrate than taking part in community events and activities.
