On 10th November 2012, Manx National Heritage will open a major exhibition on 'The Forgotten Kingdom? The Kingdom of Man and the Isles (1000 - 1300 AD)', supported by Lloyds TSB.
Over 150 groups and individuals working in partnership, including Government Officers, marine experts and local organisations, have contributed towards the project by bringing together information on Manx waters in an accessible format. As part of the project, locations of key habitats and species, Manx shipwrecks and cables and pipelines have been mapped.
STUDENTS from the Isle of Man's five secondary schools will play a part in setting the agenda for the future when they meet for the Island's first Young Learners' Conference next week.
Conister Bank, Manx National Heritage (MNH), the Department of Education and Children and two professional animators teamed up to judge the 2013 ACE Card Design Competition this month. The judging also is timely with the completion of an animation project commissioned by Manx National Heritage to inspire students to engage with their heritage and encourage the use of their ACE cards.
New Breakfast Club for pupils has been started at Manor Park Primary School on the Isle of Man by Headteacher Riss Forrester following inspiring conference.
