Hundreds of local people from Tewkesbury put forward their nominations for their favourite local business as part of a national campaign run by local business champions Debbie Taylor & Trehane James at

Among the most loved businesses in Tewkesbury are:

2. L & L Installations – Double Glazing & Conservatories – 168 Testimonials!
3. Soteria Safety – Health & Safety Specialists – 94 Testimonials!
4. Clive Woolford’s Garage – Car Repairs and Servicing – 77 Testimonials!
5. Sail & Paddle – Activities – 50 Testimonials! 

Additionally, Tewkesbury had 2 businesses who won Most Loved Business in their main category for the whole of the UK!

Background Information

A new survey of 2,000 people, also commissioned by with YouGov, revealed that:

• Over a third of Brits said the Local newsagent was the most important highstreet business
• 71 per cent of Brits believe 2011 will be a financially tougher year for local businesses than 2010.
• 36% of Brits would be prepared to boycott major supermarket chains for a week or more in February to save local businesses.
