I gathered a few quotes for fascia boards and guttering. Spencer was my preference and by far the most reasonably priced. He was flexible in finding a date to suit me. I am very pleased with the work and quality of materials. I highly recommend them.

We moved into our new home in October and one of the jobs to be done was a leaking gutter along the rear of the house. The facia boards were scruffy and tired looking and there was an irritating drip onto our conservatory roof whenever it rained. I asked Specer to come and take a look and he quoted for aluminium replacement guttering, a new down pipe and facia. He was able to do the job in December as he is clearly in demand, but it was worth waiting. The appearance of the rear guttering has been transformed and it all looks and functions like new. I thought the price was reasonable and the workmanship excellent. Spencer and his colleague took all the rubbish away and tidied up behind them. There are a few more jobs still to be done, including misted windows and I will happily entrust Spencer with them when the weather improves. I would unhesitatingly recommend his firm.

My patio doors needed to be replaced. Mr Luke came and gave a reasonable quote, which I accepted. He gave a good idea of the lead in time and how long the job would take, and was happy to settle on a date which suited my work and holiday arrangements. He and his son took great care in removing the old doors, to reduce the inevitable dust, and had installed and sealed in the new doors by 4pm. They took away all the debris and left the area clean and tidy. The work was done to a high standard and I am very pleased.

Our house in Muxton needed freshening up after 20 years, and Spencer came to quote for refurbishing the soffits, facias and guttering, as well as quoting for replacement windows. We were impressed by the replacement seamless aluminium guttering they provided, especially when we learned that we were not restricted to white colour, and the clean lines it gave to the rooflines. During October, Spencer and Ash came to renew the exterior of the house completely, including a new porch entrance as well as the replacement windows. Spencer and Ash work hard, in a professional manner, and tidy up as they go. Their costs were in line with what we had anticipated, and we are delighted with the results, and the new look of our property. Would not hesitate to recommend SD Luke for any property work.

S D Luke fitted the soffits and guttering at my previous house 15 years ago and at my new house 2 weeks ago (Sept 17), their workmanship was then and still is first class. Spencer's quote was competitive both for a full removal and UPVC replacement and for the cheaper covering of the old , he explained both systems, but left the choice entirely up to me and pushed neither. I went for the full fit. Spence and Ash put in a good days work explained everything as they went along. When they uncovered an unforeseen problem they showed me what it was and again explained the alternatives and additional costs (which were very reasonable and fully understandable) but again left the choices to me - pressure salesmen they are not. We recently had a replacement bay window and doors fitted by Spencer and Ash. We were extremely pleased with their workmanship and A rated products. They are true professionals and we are already planning our next project as we wouldn't use anyone else, two genuinely trustworthy nice guys.

After making such a fantastic job of replacing our fascia boards and guttering last year, we finally took the plunge and had all our doors and windows replaced. Spencer was extremely patient with us through the entire process, helping us to select the right combinations and styles of windows and doors, even though that took a couple of visits and several changes of mind! Over the past 3 days Spencer and Ash have worked tirelessly to replace everything through the house – no mean feat as in all there were 17 windows and doors, including patio doors.
