Girlguiding Chard – Building Confidence, Friendships and Adventure

For over 100 years, Girlguiding has inspired girls and young women to discover their potential, make lifelong friends and enjoy new experiences. Girlguiding Chard continues that tradition by providing a fun, safe and welcoming environment where girls can learn new skills, build confidence and enjoy exciting adventures.

Something for Every Age

Girlguiding Chard welcomes girls across a range of age groups:

• Rainbows – Ages 4–7
• Brownies – Ages 7–10
• Guides – Ages 10–14
• Rangers – Ages 14–18

Each section follows Girlguiding's national programme, with activities designed to encourage teamwork, creativity, independence and confidence. Girls can enjoy everything from crafts, games and outdoor adventures to camping, community projects, badge work and learning valuable life skills.

When and Where They Meet

Girlguiding Chard's units meet during term time, with individual meeting evenings and times varying depending on the section (Rainbows, Brownies, Guides or Rangers). Parents are encouraged to get in touch to find out which unit is most suitable for their daughter and current availability.

A Warm Welcome for New Members

Whether your child is looking to make new friends, try new activities or simply have fun in a supportive environment, Girlguiding Chard offers something for everyone. New members are always welcome, and adult volunteers are also encouraged to get involved to help support local units and inspire the next generation.
