A care home in Tamworth is inviting the local community to help raise the woof at its very own dog show.
Care UK’s Arkall Manor, on Ashby Road, is preparing to open its doors on Saturday 29th August from 2pm-4pm for its community canine event.
Locals and their four-legged friends are invited to come along and compete for the chance to be crowned across categories such as the waggiest tail, best veteran, best trick and best puppy.
There will be an experienced Crufts dog handler and plenty of paw-some dog-loving residents ready to judge – and fuss – the pooches who visit on the day, with prizes for winning dogs including treats and certificates.
Samukaliso Marozo, Home Manager at Arkall Manor, said: “We’re excited to be inviting the local community and furry friends to our dog show for a day of tail-wagging fun.
“Here at Arkall Manor, we’re always looking for new and exciting events to bring residents and the community together, and with many puppy-loving residents in the home, hosting our own canine competition seemed like a no-brainer.
“We are very much looking forward to meeting lots of new faces – of the two and four-legged kind!”
To enter their pooch into the show, participants will be asked to pay a small fee of £2.
