Pride of Tamworth Community Awards 2011
Nominations open on April 7th for the Pride of Tamworth Awards 2011!
The inaugural Pride of Tamworth Community Awards last year were an outstanding success, and you can now submit your 2011 nomination for someone who deserves recognition! The aim of the awards is to celebrate what is good about Tamworth, raise awareness of the value of volunteering and reward those people that go the extra mile in making Tamworth a better place.
Awards will highlight contribution in the following categories:
Sports – for inspiring others or making things happen
Community – for making a difference within the local community
Volunteering – for achievement, commitment or going the extra mile
School Life – for making school life more rewarding
Arts and Culture – for bringing people together and valuing a diversity of culture
Environment – for contribution to improving the environment in Tamworth
Health and Carers – for making a difference in other people’s lives
Business – for helping the community

Nomination forms are also available from local libraries, Tamworth CVS, Tamworth Borough Council, Tamworth Information Centre or pick up a copy of the Tamworth Herald. The closing date for nominations is 13 May 2011.
