September brings another fantastic programme to Sutton Coldfield Town Hall, with entertainment taking place throughout the month at this much-loved local venue.

Here are some of the highlights currently scheduled for September 2026:

  • Saturday 5 September – A Night to Remember Motown Show – 7.30pm
    • Step back into the sounds of 1960s Detroit with an energetic show celebrating some of the greatest Motown hits.
  • Sunday 6 September – The Bostin’ Black Country Night Out – 4pm
    • An afternoon of Black Country entertainment and plenty of laughs, hosted by comedian Lee Carroll.
  • Friday 11 September – Totally Blondie – 7.30pm
    • A celebration of the music and history of Blondie, taking audiences from the band’s early material through to later favourites.
  • Saturday 12 September – Sutton Coldfield Literary Arts Festival
    • Sutton Coldfield Town Hall launches its first-ever Literary Arts Festival, bringing together authors, poets, storytellers, workshops, readings and performances.
    • Saturday daytime activities run from 11.30am to 5.30pm, with free entry and places for individual sessions available on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • An evening show follows, bringing together music, performance and local creative talent.
  • Thursday 17 September – The Bootleg Beach Boys – 7.30pm
    • Get ready for a taste of California as The Bootleg Beach Boys bring the music and harmonies of the legendary Beach Boys to Sutton Coldfield.
  • Friday 18 September – The History of Soul – 7.30pm
    • Travel through some of soul music’s greatest eras with a show celebrating legendary artists including Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and James Brown.
  • Saturday 19 September – Heritage Day at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall – 10am–4pm
    • A brilliant opportunity to see another side of this historic local venue. Heritage Day opens the Town Hall’s doors and offers visitors a rare glimpse behind the scenes, including backstage areas and views from the rooftops across Sutton Coldfield.
  • Sunday 20 September – Chris Stapleton UK Tribute – 5pm
    • Country fans can enjoy Europe’s original Chris Stapleton tribute, performed by Darren Hodson and a full live band recreating the distinctive Nashville and country-soul sound.
  • Thursday 24 September – Nostalgic Music – 1pm–3.30pm
    • A relaxed afternoon offering companionship and a musical trip down memory lane with old-time favourites.
  • Friday 25 September – Give Me The Night: George Benson Tribute – 7.30pm
    • Nat Augustin takes to the stage for an evening celebrating the unmistakable music and greatest hits of George Benson.
  • Saturday 26 September – The Bohemians: Queen’s Greatest Hits – 7.30pm
    • Finish the final weekend of September with a high-energy celebration of Queen as internationally established tribute act The Bohemians perform some of the band’s biggest and best-loved songs.
  • Wednesday 30 September – Come From Away – 7.30pm
    • September ends with the opening night of CLOC Musical Theatre Company’s Come From Away, the moving and uplifting musical based on the true story of thousands of airline passengers diverted to the small Canadian town of Gander following the events of 11 September 2001. Performances continue until Saturday 3 October.
