Welcome to the Sudbury History Society.

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month (except January) at 10am in The Granary in Quay Lane, Sudbury  CO10 2AN. Parking can be difficult, so it is wise to arrive before or around 9.45pm.

  • We offer a range of talks covering the local history of the town, but also the history of Suffolk and East Anglia. Our speakers come from all over the local area and the wider area of Essex and Norfolk. As a group we are members of the Suffolk Local History Council, which gives us access to a very wide range of excellent speakers.
  • Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the talk, normally around 11am
  • During the spring and summer months coach excursions are organised to places of historic interest in East Anglia.

We are a friendly, hospitable group where you will be made very welcome.
