St. Gregory CEVC Primary School and Nursery is a nurturing, inclusive community with high expectations and ambitions for all of our pupils and staff. We celebrate our strengths and differences and, through a lively, engaging curriculum supported by strong Christian values, aim to develop confident, independent and resourceful learners who are fully prepared for life in an ever-changing and dynamic world.

We aim to give every child as many ways as possible to succeed and develop their self-esteem, and we do this not only through our curriculum but also through opportunities in sport, music, drama and a range of roles and responsibilities in the school. For example, we currently hold the School Games Gold Award for providing the opportunity for so many children to take part in competitive sport, and last year every child in Year 6 took part in a competition against other schools. We have thriving Junior and Senior choirs which are open to any pupil without audition and who perform at a range of local churches and festivals across the year, and we also hold Midwinter Concerts, talent shows and school plays. The children also get a say in how the school is run and play an active role in helping us improve through School Council or by being Librarians, Play Leaders, Digital Leaders, Class Ambassadors or members of the Eco Committee.

We also welcome as much communication with parents and carers as possible. On the Contact Us section of this website you can find school email addresses for every teacher in the school, and there is also a feedback form if you would like to get in touch with the school office. Your views, ideas and feedback are really important to us as we strive to make St Gregory’s the best that we can be, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Daniel Woodrow – Headteacher.
