Local Cricket Club in Sudbury.

In 2012 the Club celebrated its 225th Year, having been formed in 1787, and since 1891 the Club's home has been at Friars Street which is a wonderful place to both play and watch cricket and provides a unique venue in the centre of the town.
The Club currently runs 4 / 5 Senior Mens Teams at weekends, a Ladies Team on Friday nights, and a vibrant Junior Section. The 1st XI were East Anglian Premier League Champions in 2017 and 2018, and the Club also won the Suffolk T20 Cup in 2017 and 2019.
The Club benefits from a fine Vice Presidents section, many of whom are ex-players, and whilst playing cricket is the main activity of the Club, there is a full Social Events calendar including Cricket Week which is held in the last full week of July. New Members and Players of all ability levels are always welcome.

The Club is run by a Management Committee that in turn reports to the Board of Directors. Each Section is represented on the Management Committee, ensuring that every Member’s views and concerns can be heard.

The Club is largely run by Volunteers who all share a love of the Game of Cricket and of the town of Sudbury. To supplement these volunteers the Club employs Groundstaff, Qualified Coaches, Bar Staff and and an overseas Coach / Player.

The Club also receives tremendous support from local business via Advertising Boards at the ground, Match Day Sponsorship and Advertising in the club’s Annual Handbook & Fixture Card, and since 2018 has had a strong link with Gosfield School who offer Cricket Scholarships and Sponsor the Club’s Junior Section. The Club has CLUBMARK accreditation from the England & Wales Cricket Board (the ECB).
