Compassion - Addressing Domestic Abuse

Compassion is a small registered domestic abuse charity, supporting anyone who is experiencing or has experienced domestic abuse and/or coercive control predominantly in Sudbury, Haverhill & surrounding areas, however we deliver our programmes online nationally.

Our Services… 

  • Coffee Morning Mondays between 10-12 currently at the Phoenix centre, Tudor Road, Sudbury, this is a drop-in service for females who have experienced domestic abuse. We have support services who also attend such as Barclays Bank and Citizens Advice as well as arts & crafts and tea, coffee & biscuits.
  • Who’s in Charge – a 9-week parenting programme combining educational and therapeutic sessions for parents whose children are being abusive or violent or who appear out of parental control.
  • The Voice – an interactive 12-week recovery programme for any victim or survivor of domestic abuse and/or coercive control.
  • Escape The Trap – an 8-week programme designed to help all young people recognise abusive behaviours.
  • Telephone befriending – a 30-minute weekly check in phone call.
  • Free legal advice – a one-off 30-minute phone call about family law.
