I was so nervous to leave my 1 year old twins with a nursery so I spent weeks researching the nursery’s in Sudbury and visiting them. Woodpeckers really stood out to me above the rest so I enrolled my twins. I honestly could not of picked a better place for my children. They settled in so fast and have loved every single day there over the past year. They have learnt so much and been treated in an amazing way. I cannot fault the school or the teachers they have working there. Deirdre and Jeff are honestly the most accommodating business owners I have ever met. I would highly recommended this nursery.

Woodpeckers have been a second family to us since our daughter joined at 8 months old, their care, knowledge and passion is clearly seen throughout all their rooms and their nursery environment. The experiences they offer are second to none, from Garden centre trips, sports, Library visits and raising money for charity. Our daughter has flourished in your care and with only one week remaining before she leaves for school, we are very emotional about the goodbye but thankfully will be back in January when our little boy starts. Not only have you taught our daughter so much in her time with you, but she is also very kind, caring and empathetic and that has come from all the support and love you all show. Huge thank you to you all, keep doing what you're doing because you are amazing!

The staff at this nursery are truly incredible - they are inspiring, nurturing, patient, understanding, helpful and all round awesome. Choosing a nursery is daunting but as soon as I walked in to Woodpecker’s I knew this is where my daughter would thrive. The team build genuine connections with your children, they go out on trips, they create these amazing games and activities and they help your child in any way they need it. I’m grateful for them every day

Our son has been attending since November 2022 (starting at 11months old). During his time there we have witnessed him build in confidence, develop communication skills (language and makaton) and thoroughly enjoy being social and spend a lot of time outside. He absolutely loves attending and has a great bond with many of the staff, especially his key worker (who obviously works hard to create fun learning experiences for him and the other children and enjoys her job.) All the staff we have encountered are friendly and very caring. We can't recommend Woodpeckers Nursery more highly.

Wonderful nursery, our girls are absolutely thriving at Woodpeckers. They always come home happy and with something new they have learnt, lovely meals home cooked and a friendly, caring team. They even go on days out!! We know they’re in safe hands and they love their time at the nursery.

The best nursery around. It’s a scary moment leaving your children behind but woodpeckers go above and beyond any measure. The love and support they give children as well as parents is amazing. We don’t ever want our time there to end. 10/10 from us.

My daughter joined Woodpeckers baby room at 12 months old, 3 days as week. From the moment we went to look round we knew it was the right place for her, I cannot fault any part of that nursery at all. Every single person I have met there truly care about the wellbeing and development of your child, they do the most fantastic trips and events for the children & families. They go above and beyond, the room and nursery itself is beautiful with wonderful outdoor space. They are often going on walks or playing outside and to see the activities that they do every week is absolutely amazing. I couldn't be happier with the care they provide us, my daughter has been so happy going there and will continue to go there for a long time. Thank you for all the staff for making it the place it is!

We are so pleased with how our daughter is settling in at woodpeckers. The communication from the nursery is fantastic. All the staff are lovely, always happy to give us a full run down on how our daughter has got on when we collect her. I can call if I am worried and ring straight through to the room she’s in which is a great relief. The nursery has been so flexible and accommodating for us as a busy working family! We definitely getting more smiles and waves when we arrive and leave now from our little one!

Woodpeckers is an amazing environment for the little ones. My 16 month old son loves it there! Their app keeps parents informed of their activities for that day whilst providing feedback on the child’s developmental stages. Friendly and extremely professional - even during covid!

My first born son attended and my 20 month old son now attends , there care and compassion is outstanding.. all staff are prepared to go out there way to do anything that will help .. both my sons love this nursery and I would not want my children to attend anywhere else ,there food is delicious and it always smells amazing when entering ... and they do some lovely fun activities in all the stage rooms , I would highly recommend woodpeckers to anyone

Always such a wonderful face greets us in this nursery which feels like taking my son to extended family. He has a wonderful time and has had such wonderful and diverse experiences since he joined. He will be devastated to leave this summer to start school but glad to keep the link when I send my youngest son to the nursery in a few weeks. Jeff and Deidre have such a wonderful place, fantastic staff and I couldn’t think of anyone else to look after my children.

It's been a few years since my youngest attended Woodpeckers, but I wanted to share how happy my daughter was there. She started when she was just 6 months old and every session she attended (I worked 3 days a week then) she'd be happy and smiling. Even though she's 13 this year, she still remembers some of the friends she made and the helpers that looked after her fondly. To have such happy memories of a nursery nearly a decade later, I think speaks volumes about what a lovely place it is. I chose Woodpeckers because it had a really friendly family atmosphere.. like a home from home. And when you have a baby and you're going back to work, it's reassuring that childcare is one less thing to worry about, knowing your child is well looked after and happy.

Things started out well at Woodpeckers but went drastically downhill. Bills were wrong and my little one was not having individual tapestry notes made. Most of the girls are lovely, but some would rather gossip than work! I would not send my other children there.

Woodpeckers are a friendly, well trusted group. We can relax knowing our child is in great care. Our son loves all the activities and sing songs.
