Art enthusiasts, keen gardeners and nature lovers can enjoy an inspiring day out at Rodborough’s Hidden Gardens & Sculpture trail, promising a visual extravaganza this June.
Get ready to pick up horticultural inspiration when Rodborough’s Hidden Gardens & Sculpture Trail returns for its fourth year this summer, with new highlights in store for the 2019 event.
Taking place in and around Church Place, Rodborough on Sunday 9 June 2019, the event will see gardeners opening their gates to members of public, including the ‘secret garden’ around Rodborough Court.
The trail will showcase the work of a dozen or so sculptors and artists, welcoming back Helen Lomberg, Tom Harvey, Gabriel Bennett Marion Mitchell; while there will also be new exhibitors.
Building on the success of the last event we will be holding an exhibition of sculpture created by local primary school children on the subject of Re-Cycle and Re-Use, while there will also be drop-in children’s workshops on the Sunday, making the event even more family friendly.
There will be free drop-in art workshops for children, book signings by local author Katie Fforde and guided tours of the gardens of the historic Rodborough Court.
There will be a range of stalls in Church Place selling local produce and plants with delicious refreshments served in The Old Endowed School. Sorry, but we have limited access for dogs.
Proceeds this year will go to The Old Endowed School, St Mary Magdalene Church, Mothers in Mind and Stroud Valleys Project.
