Care UK’s Ambleside, on Evesham Road in Dodwell is inviting people to revisit traditions from Christmas past by joining residents and team members for its event on Thursday 18th December, from 10am-12pm.

The event is part of Care UK’s “Step into Christmas” initiative, which aims to rekindle Christmas customs that residents remember from their childhood by reliving them and sharing them with the local community.

On the day, Ambleside will be hosting a special Christmas Community Café featuring music, mulled wine and mince pies. Guests will also have the opportunity to take part in a host of traditional crafts to create festive ornaments, such as dried fruit garlands, handmade tree decorations, paper ornaments, and colourful paper chains.

Daphne Beadle, a resident at Ambleside, said: “I’m looking forward to the event. It will be nice to reminisce and join in the activities and crafts I enjoyed when I was younger. We always used to make our own table decorations, and I’m excited to do that again.”

Charlotte Levin, Home Manager at Ambleside, said: “Christmas is such a special time of year, and this event allows us to honour the memories from residents’ childhoods, bringing them to life once again.
